Axle wrap described to me is the torque of the engine to the rear drive shaft and diff overcoming the springs and twisting the axle during acceleration sometimes resulting in a 'clunk' when stopping. I looked for a grease zerk on the rear drive shaft since that would fix the problem on my 2000 for a few days, but could not find it. Basically over time your leaf springs soften up and can cause some slight forward and backward axle movement when taking off from a stop or coming to a stop. I replaced front and rear sway bar links, tie rods, all 4 rotors and pads, driver's side CV axle and wheel bearing. Everything else seems good.
